The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree reorganizing the management of the healthcare system and appointing the head of the updated structure. According to the document, Abdulla Abdisalamovich Azizov has been appointed as the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health.

In connection with this new appointment, he has been officially relieved of his previous position as Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the relevant ministry.

Azizov was born in 1981. He earned a master's degree in Finance and International Business from Nagoya University in Japan in 2003 and also graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in 2004. Additionally, he studied IT programming at Aarhus University in Denmark and worked for several leading companies in Denmark.

He previously served as Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee and Deputy Minister of Health.
