Central Asian University (CAU) has announced significant changes to its admissions campaign for 2026. The university is reducing the total number of available spots to 700, which, with approximately 2,000 applications already received, is creating intense competition. This new policy reflects a shift towards fewer seats, higher requirements, and more selective screening, aiming to cultivate a more elite academic environment and rigorously filter applicants across key disciplines.

The university's official website features a daily-updated table showing the number of candidates per spot for each school, allowing prospective students and parents to monitor the competitive landscape in real-time. Additionally, CAU is organizing an international Olympiad in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics on June 12–13 at its campus, offering participants grants covering up to 100% of tuition fees and special opportunities within the preparatory Be Student program.

Grants for Olympiad winners come with strict conditions: for 11th-grade students, the top three places receive a 100% grant, places 4–6 get a 50% grant, and places 7–10 receive a 25% grant, contingent on maintaining a GPA of at least 3.3 each semester and meeting IELTS 6.0 or equivalent requirements. For 10th-grade students, the top three places are eligible for a 100% grant, but it is only awarded upon successful completion of entrance exams and language requirements. Ninth-grade students gain free access to the Be Student program.

CAU's various schools, including the School of Medicine (a 6-year program with USMLE preparation), School of Business (partnership with CBS for dual degrees), School of Architecture and Design (new campus), Engineering School (focus areas like AI and cybersecurity), School of Dentistry (5-year DDS program), and School of Hospitality and Tourism (partnership with HTMi Switzerland), provide high-quality education. Each school offers grants up to 100% through the Olympiad for strong candidates.

The admissions campaign is unfolding amid high demand and limited spots, prompting recommendations for early document submission. Applications can be submitted online, requiring a passport scan, diploma or certificate, a 3.5x4.5 photo, and IELTS/SAT certificates (if available).
