Last night, subscribers of the Beeline mobile operator in Uzbekistan reported unexpected and delayed calls being made from their phone numbers. Complaints about this issue spread widely on social media platforms, including Telegram and Facebook, with many users noting the appearance of call logs they did not initiate.
In response to an inquiry by Gazeta.uz, the operator’s press service clarified that the problem stemmed from technical specifications of one of the network services due to updates and the transition to a new billing system. The company emphasized that calls may have been delayed by several hours or interrupted, but no major connectivity issues or outages were observed, and the network did not go down.
A statement on Beeline’s official website noted, “Currently, temporary disruptions in the operation of some services may be observed, related to updates and the transition to a new calculation system. After the technical work is completed, all services will again be available in full volume.” This follows earlier reports in late March about the operator’s shift to a new billing system.
The situation has sparked concern and dissatisfaction among subscribers, who are forced to reassess their trust in data security and service quality. Beeline is currently conducting technical work to resolve the issue, but no clear timeline has been provided for when the process will be fully completed or whether such incidents will be prevented in the future.
