The case of an 18-year-old resident of the Akhangaran district, arrested after posting a video accusing a police officer of harassing a minor, has escalated. The young man's mother has filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office, alleging torture and the filing of new charges on the day he was supposed to be released.

The teenager had posted a video claiming that a patrol officer took a 14-year-old girl in his personal car to the mountains and harassed her and her friend. According to him, the girl sent him her location, and he and his friends found the car outside the city. The officer allegedly locked the doors and attempted to flee, injuring a witness.

The Tashkent Regional Police Department dismissed the incident as a staged provocation motivated by personal animosity. Investigators stated that a 22-year-old acquaintance called the officer asking to meet, and she and the 14-year-old voluntarily entered the car. No illegal actions were reported.

The situation escalated when the 18-year-old and his friends blocked the car and filmed the scene, accusing the officer. The teenager had previously been warned by the same officer during a nighttime walk. He was subsequently arrested for 7 days and released a video apologizing for spreading misinformation.

On May 6, the mother appealed to Saida Mirziyoyeva, alleging pressure and violations during the investigation. On May 7, she announced that the family had officially filed a torture complaint with the prosecutor's office. She claimed her son was not released after 7 days but was taken to the regional prosecutor's office to face new charges.

The mother alleges her son is being beaten and denied medical examination, and that the delay is intended to hide signs of abuse. She also stated that the local police chief confiscated her son's phone and struck her twice on the head. She claims she was promised her son's release if she admitted to assaulting the officers.

The Tashkent Regional Prosecutor's Office has not issued official comments regarding the torture allegations or the detainee's new legal status.
