The Tashkent Regional Customs Administration has announced that a court hearing regarding a physical altercation between two citizens at the Navoi customs post will take place on April 27.
The incident occurred on April 24 at around 11:30 p.m. A verbal argument on the customs post premises escalated into a physical confrontation, with one individual using force against the other.
Police officers were called to the scene, and all necessary procedural documents were immediately prepared.
The customs administration noted that a video of the incident, widely shared on Telegram channels and social media, has been interpreted differently by users. To prevent speculation, the case has been referred to the court.
“The court will provide the final legal assessment of the situation. The public will be informed of the results of the hearing, scheduled for April 27,” the administration stressed.
Additionally, the administration urged citizens not to trust individuals offering paid assistance to cross the border without queuing or to transport goods without paying customs duties. Such cases can be reported via the hotline at 11-08.
