Mirzo Ulugbek district has become the fourth district in Tashkent to establish a situation center and implement the 'Smart District' platform. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the district administration on Thursday to review the center.
Previously, 30 organizations in Mirzo Ulugbek district—covering public safety, transport, social assistance, utilities, finance, and banking—operated separately and in a fragmented manner. The lack of a unified system significantly hindered the prompt resolution of citizen appeals, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience, according to the presidential press service.
The 'Smart District' platform is designed to analyze, quickly identify, and resolve problems in the district. It enables online communication with all neighborhood representatives and provides constant awareness of the current situation.
'The platform monitors social and utility issues, oversees the implementation of citizen appeals, and ensures rapid management and coordination of relevant services in emergencies,' the statement said.
The platform includes the 'Safe Area' system, which monitors offenses and ensures public safety.
A digital map of business entities uses artificial intelligence to forecast tax revenues and improve collection rates. Another AI-based system, AI Davomat, is designed to track unjustified school absences and prevent neglect.
Similar platforms have already been launched in Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, and Almazar districts. The president instructed that the new system be implemented in other districts of the capital as well.
It was emphasized that regional governors, prosecutors, and heads of internal affairs, security, and tax agencies should visit Mirzo Ulugbek district to study this experience.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev served as the governor of Mirzo Ulugbek district from 1992 to 1996. In the district administration building, his former office and car have been restored to their original appearance. An exhibition highlighting the key decisions he made during his tenure has also been organized.
The fence around the administration building was removed, and the area was landscaped into a small park. The head of state planted a tree there.
