A GAZ-3102 Volga sedan, the official vehicle used by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his tenure as governor of Tashkent's Mirzo Ulugbek district from 1992 to 1996, has been put on public display. The photo was released by journalist Mahliyo Ozodova on her blog.

The car is parked next to the district administration building and features a plaque in Uzbek confirming its historical significance. President Mirziyoyev visited the district on April 23 to inspect local development projects and infrastructure improvements.

In December 2021, Gazeta.uz analyzed the vehicle fleets of various ministries and agencies, revealing that ministers commonly used Mercedes-Benz sedans, their deputies drove Chevrolet Malibu and Captiva models, while district governors favored Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUVs.

Following a presidential directive in March 2025 to phase out foreign-made official cars, many ministers switched from Mercedes-Benz to locally assembled Malibus, and governors replaced their vehicles with Chevrolet Tahoe or Traverse SUVs.
