Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a letter to Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and emphasizing the significance of the negotiations held in Bukhara. In the letter, Tokayev praised the exceptional hospitality of the Uzbek side and highly appreciated the organization of the working visit, calling Bukhara a pearl of Central Asia and world civilization. He noted that the city's modern appearance harmoniously blends historical heritage with contemporary development.

The Kazakh leader separately highlighted the productivity of the talks, stating that the one-day meeting in Bukhara was comparable in importance to a full official visit. According to him, the dialogue opened new opportunities for expanding strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.

Tokayev reported that upon returning to Astana, he gave assignments to implement the agreements reached and also ordered the study and adoption of Uzbekistan's experience in various fields. He paid special attention to the joint environmental initiative "Clean Air," aimed at improving the ecological situation in the region.

The Kazakh president expressed particular gratitude for the archival materials transferred, which hold significant cultural and historical value for Kazakhstan. He described this step as evidence of mutual respect and friendship between the peoples of the two nations.

In conclusion, Tokayev wished Mirziyoyev health and further success in Uzbekistan's development, emphasizing that the country is a reliable ally and strategic partner. It is recalled that the central theme of the negotiations was economic breakthrough: against the backdrop of current trade turnover of $5 billion, the heads of state set an ambitious target of reaching $10 billion.
