Akbar Dostonov, a student from a specialized boarding school in Surkhandarya region, has received invitations from dozens of foreign universities and secured major educational grants, reports Podrobno.uz correspondent.

The total amount of grants awarded to him reached $2,165,800. Among the universities that sent invitations are renowned institutions such as American University, Binghamton University, University of Missouri, and others.

The Agency of Specialized Educational Institutions hailed the student's achievement as a major victory and noted that he is far from the only graduate to have gained the opportunity to continue studying abroad.

Earlier, it was reported that a schoolgirl from Navoi scored high marks on an international exam, opening her path to admission to foreign universities. The eighth-grader scored 1430 out of 1600 points, considered a strong result for applying to leading universities.
