A new regulation developed by the Ministry of Justice and registered on May 8, 2026, allows bank customers in Uzbekistan to withdraw up to $500 in cash without presenting a passport or ID card.

The current limit is $100. The new rules will take effect in three months.

The change aims to simplify access to cash and improve banking convenience. Experts suggest it may boost cash circulation and positively impact economic activity.
