The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has announced that lessons will be held for senior students of general education schools on May 11.

At the same time, this day is declared a day off for primary school students and state kindergartens.

In non-state educational institutions, days off are set in accordance with their internal regulations.

According to the Presidential Decree “On determining additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates in 2026 and the transfer of weekends”, May 9 — Remembrance and Honors Day — falls on Saturday in a five-day work week. Therefore, this day off is transferred to May 11, 2026.
