Uzbekistan is planning to establish a system for employing its citizens in Saudi Arabia in the fields of medicine, construction, tourism, and engineering, as part of bilateral cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the Migration Agency.

A delegation consisting of representatives from the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Uzbek embassy in Saudi Arabia held a series of meetings on labor migration issues.

During a meeting with Saudi Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmad Al-Sharqi, the new labor market strategy, mechanisms for attracting foreign labor, and the introduction of a visa classification system based on skill levels (basic, intermediate, high) were discussed.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group between the Migration Agency and the Saudi Ministry of Labor. Plans also include training personnel in Uzbekistan according to international standards in medicine, construction, tourism, and engineering, organizing qualification exams, and placing candidates in jobs in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, discussions were held with the recruitment organization KDOT, which specializes in attracting foreign labor and supplying employers with personnel, as well as with major employers, on implementing targeted education and vocational training programs for high-demand professions.

At a meeting chaired by the president on April 20, it was announced that Uzbekistan plans to expand labor migration and cover training costs. It was noted that demand for skilled labor is growing in Europe and East Asia, with foreign employers already placing orders for over 100,000 specialists.
