Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. Sherzod Kudbiyev, Chairman of the National Committee for Urbanization and Sustainable Housing Market Development, commented on the heated discussions in social media sparked by his appearance at a presidential video conference wearing an expensive watch. Users' attention was drawn to the accessory, with some estimating its value at tens of thousands of dollars.

Specifically, journalist Ilyos Safarov suggested that the official might have been wearing a Breguet Marine Chronographe 5527 model, with a market price of around $50,000. He added that the issue has a moral dimension: according to available information, this watch was inherited by Sherzod Kudbiyev from his father, Davlat Kudbiyev, who passed away about two years ago.

Sherzod Kudbiyev confirmed the information about the accessory's origin and expressed his attitude toward the situation. He stated: "That's correct, this is a very valuable watch to me, it reminds me of many things." However, the committee head emphasized that public servants must adhere to certain ethical norms and demonstrate modesty.

In Kudbiyev's opinion, especially at official gatherings and meetings, a civil servant is obliged to strictly observe professional ethics, using their behavior and appearance to emphasize the status of an executor of the state's will. The official added that the public resonance has become a reason for him to draw serious conclusions for the future.
