The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan has announced its voluntary relinquishment of a large land plot covering 190 hectares in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. This plot, located in the "Ulugbek" neighborhood, has been transferred to the state reserve for the implementation of a large-scale ecological project aimed at enhancing the urban environment.

According to a decree by Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov, the plot has been officially placed under the administration of the city authorities. Plans are underway to establish a new dendrological park on this territory, which will serve as a significant natural landmark for the capital, contributing to greening efforts and ecological well-being.

The land transfer was conducted on a non-compensatory basis. Previously, the plot was under the jurisdiction of institutes within the Academy of Sciences, but it has now been deemed available for further development and landscaping as part of city initiatives. This move reflects the government's efforts to promote environmental sustainability and urban infrastructure development.
