Personnel changes have occurred in the leadership of Uzbekistan's Agency for Cultural Heritage. Elmurod Nazhimov has been appointed as the First Deputy Director of the agency.
He replaces Tursunali Kuziev in this position, who was relieved of his duties due to a transfer to another job. The specific details of Kuziev's new assignment were not disclosed.
The new appointee is 34 years old and was born in the Andijan region. Elmurod Nazhimov holds relevant educational qualifications: he graduated from Tashkent University of Information Technologies in 2016 and completed a master's program at the Higher School of Business and Management under the National Agency for Project Management in 2020.
Prior to this appointment, Nazhimov served as Deputy Head of the Department for Creative Economy and Tourism in the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan. His professional career is closely tied to the development of the country's cultural and tourism sectors. Over the years, he has held significant positions such as First Deputy Chairman of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs.
