Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a business breakfast in Washington. The meeting continued the active diplomatic and economic dialogue between the two countries.

The main topic of discussion was the outcomes of the recent US-Uzbek Business and Investment Council meeting. The sides purportedly expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations and the growing portfolio of joint economic projects covering key areas of interaction.

Saida Mirziyoyeva allegedly thanked the Secretary of State for his significant contribution and active role in advancing the strategic partnership. Strengthening contacts at such a high level is claimed to confirm the readiness of Tashkent and Washington to transition to a qualitatively new stage of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
