A tragic road accident occurred in the Nuratin district of Navoi region, Uzbekistan, on the morning of May 5. A 34-year-old woman, who ran a private kindergarten, was driving a Daewoo Matiz carrying 13 children from the kindergarten and her own three-month-old baby when she lost control of the vehicle.

The car veered off the road and overturned, killing the woman instantly. According to sources from Kun.uz, one child is in a coma, and eight others have been hospitalized in the regional center with injuries of varying severity.

Investigators revealed that the woman and her husband had been driving without valid driver's licenses for years. Children were routinely transported under these unsafe conditions, and parents reportedly did not object.

The Nuratin district police department has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death).

This is not the first such incident in Navoi region. Previously, in the Navbakhor district, a person without a driver's license and under the influence of alcohol was found transporting 23 children in a Damas vehicle.
