In recent years, large-scale construction projects in Tashkent have sparked debates among residents and experts. According to government data, more than 50 new residential complexes, shopping centers, and infrastructure facilities are planned to be built in the capital by 2025.

However, there are concerns that these projects may damage the city's historical appearance. Old neighborhoods and Soviet-era architectural monuments are being replaced by modern buildings. Local residents argue that this process could lead to the loss of the city's unique identity.

Urban planning experts claim that new projects are necessary for economic development and improving living conditions. However, they believe construction should be balanced with the preservation of historical heritage. So far, no concrete measures have been taken in this regard.

An official statement from the Tashkent city administration says that new construction is being carried out in accordance with the city's master plan and all requirements are being considered. However, independent observers criticize the lack of transparency in this process.
