In the Uchtepa district of Tashkent, two men have become subjects of a case involving the deliberate hitting of dogs with cars. The incident gained widespread attention after a video circulated on social media, sparking sharp condemnation from the public. The Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs promptly reviewed the footage and identified the participants in the incident.
As revealed during the investigation, the incident occurred on April 5 around 23:00. The individuals in the video were two young men aged 27 and 28, who work as security guards at a local market. While driving their vehicles, they hit the animals, which led to the investigation.
In connection with the established fact, officers from the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs drew up administrative protocols against the offenders. The men's actions were classified under Article 111 ("Cruelty to Animals") of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
Currently, all collected materials have been transferred to the district criminal court. In the near future, the court is expected to review the documents and determine the punishment for the guilty parties in accordance with current legislation.
Previously, a court in the Tashkent region issued a ruling regarding two employees of a recreation zone in the Bostanlyk district, involved in a high-profile incident of animal cruelty. The offenders were found guilty of brutally killing cats and illegally using pneumatic weapons.
