Law enforcement agencies in Uzbekistan have conducted a series of large-scale special operations aimed at dismantling extensive drug distribution networks. During the operations, sales channels organized through online shops were blocked, and significant quantities of narcotics were seized. The focus of the operatives included both repeat offenders linked to international crime and students from capital universities.

In the Dangara district of the Fergana region, officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service detained two men, aged 30 and 43, in the act. Previously convicted for intentional minor bodily harm, they were caught while retrieving 7 kilograms of hashish from a hidden stash in a field. The investigation revealed that one of the detainees had been cooperating with members of a transnational criminal group since the beginning of 2024. Drugs were supplied to the republic in large batches through the territories of neighboring states. Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal sale of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale").

Particular concern is raised by the involvement of youth in criminal schemes. In the Mirabad and Mirzo-Ulugbek districts of the capital, the distribution of over 1.6 kilograms of prohibited substances was halted. In the Mirabad district, law enforcement detained a 21-year-old student who had been acting as a "stasher" for the past three months. Following instructions from a curator via the Telegram messenger, the young man was involved in distributing large batches of narcotics. During further operations, a stash of synthetic and plant-based drugs was discovered in his rented accommodation. Operatives seized 690 grams of alpha-PVP, 471 grams of mephedrone, and 433 grams of marijuana. In addition to the substances themselves, the apartment contained equipment for packaging: electronic scales, 600 zip-lock bags, and insulating tape.

In the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent, an online drug shop administrator (24 years old) and his accomplice (27 years old) were detained. Synthetic drugs and potent medications were found on them. Simultaneously, in the Kibray district of the Tashkent region, the activities of another group were uncovered. Stashes of alpha-PVP, mephedrone, pregabalin, as well as liquid forms of narcotics were seized from the home of an 18-year-old girl and the residence of an online shop operator (previously convicted for extortion and drug trafficking). Upon exiting this house, two student-stashers, aged 19 and 21, were also caught with 30 packages ready for sale.

Law enforcement authorities emphasize that the fight against the drug threat is currently focused on blocking internet channels and protecting the nation's gene pool. If you have information about suspicious activities, report it to the "Stopnarkobot" Telegram bot or via the internal affairs agencies' hotlines.
